Cars - Dacia
Now I know absolutely nothing about cars. Just having a look and whatever search I do Dacia cars always seem to come up as very cheap for what you are getting. Yes that screams out as they are a load of old crap but they are a subsidiary of Renault. So are they really that bad? Or actually quite good for the money? Cheap and cheerful.

Bloke parked in my parking space drove a Duster, I asked him what he was doing there, he said selling dusters, thought he was taking the piss and told him as much, ended up in a dust up and I had it on my toes.

Re: Cars - Dacia
We have a dacia stepway. Did not have alot to spend on a motor and they kept coming up alot too.

I were'nt sure at first but we found one that was four years old, 25k on the clock had sat nav and bluetooth for under 5 grand. You cant find anything similar for that kind of money.

It is only 0.9 litre petrol but still pulls away quite well. Will struggle to cruise comfortably at much over 85 mph on the motorway but where can you do that anyway?

Does about 40 to the gallon.

Trim basic but not any worse than the trim ford do these days.

Very happy with it.

Would definitely recommend one.

had 2 ( two ) rides in a Dacia one in barcelona on in lisbon - both taxis

the first ended up in a crash into a slow moving Tram as it appeared the car had no brakes, the second time the driver kept offering to sell me chisel

they appear to be made from recycled tins and interiors from student accomodation sofas.

Might stray away from the (mostly German) company car list next time for a bit of a change.

My priorities are a smooth ride, comfort and lack of noise mostly cruising at motorway speeds.

Are there any makes/models I should check out that fall outside of the usual suspects?

I actually had to have that conversation with a real pikey once when I was a nipper. I was saying to him about some club was crap and full of pikeys, not realising he was a proper gypo

It was in deepest Kent and I said to him we don’t have pikeys where I’m from so we just call tracksuited peasants pikeys, he understood

On second Logan estate no problem whatsoever, reliable good fuel consumption only really do long drives no comfort issue and plenty of room for the hounds with the back seats down

Re: Cars - Dacia
Bought a Duster from new in June 2018.

Not a single issue with it since I bought it. First car with 'space' I've ever had, and bearing in mind I'm a fucking unit I've had small cars which never bothered me either.

I can only speak as I find and I've not noticed issues with crampness after an hour or plastic interiors. I use my old man's 5 series occasionally, and in reality I dont see much of a problem when you stare out of a windscreen.

In terms of value, they are top notch, I didnt go for all the extras as my mileage thee days doesnt warrant it and no point having sat nav as I know where I am going and dont need Aussie sandra telling me.

Good on the juice too, so all in all if you are looking to avoid chucking money down the drain for the sake of larging it to mates about how you blew money on a car - highly recommended
